Lac du Bourget is a lake at the southernmost end of the Jura Mountains in the department of Savoie. The lake was formed over 19,000 years ago as glaciers retreated, this aquatic marvel plunges to depths of 145 meters.  The lake’s unique ecosystem supports a diverse array of flora and fauna, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and researchers alike.

The Savoie region is a French department located in the heart of the Alps mountain range, in the Auvergne-Rhône region. This region has a total area of ​​over 6,000 kilometers and is made up of three distinct zones: plains, valleys, and mountains.
