SWEDEN ~ Heligholmen Island - Gotland ~

... Great nature scenery from Holmhällar on the beautiful island of Heligholmen... an uninhabited island with as only building a small lighthouse... a bird sanctuary with a ban on entry from March 15th to June 30th... Thanks a lot Svea!!【ツ】

Heligholmen is an island off the south coast of Vamlingbo, Gotland, Sweden, with an area of 11.8 hectares (29 acres).

Gotland is located about 90 km east of the Swedish mainland and about 130 km from the Baltic states. Gotland is the name of the main island, but the adjacent islands are generally considered part of Gotland and the Gotlandic culture.

Sweden is a Scandinavian country in Northern Europe. The country borders Norway and Finland, and is connected to Denmark by a bridge-tunnel across the Øresund.

Sweden is the third-largest country in the European Union by area and has the largest population of the Nordic countries.

SWEDEN ~ Stockholm Södermalm ~

..Fantastic early morning view of one the most difficult European countries to get cards from...at least for me, this is only my second card...So I'm very happy with it!! ^__^ Thanks so much Anja!!

With lovely stamps:
Cookies are the motif on this year’s summer stamps that will carry greetings from a trip, the beach, a tourist destination and a retreat in nature.

Stockholm is built on an archipelago of islands and inlets.

Södermalm forms the southern district of central Stockholm. Before, Södermalm was known as Åsön. Although Södermalm usually is considered an island, water to both its north and south does not flow freely but passes through locks. Södermalm is connected to its surrounding areas by a number of bridges.

The Bohuslän coast stretches from Gothenburg, one of Sweden’s three largest cities, northwards to the border with Norway, and beside this coastline lies the Western Archipelago, a spectacular seascape of 8,000 islands, islets, skerries and rocky outcrops.
