MALDIVES

... Fantastic view of a tropical ☼ paradise ☼... with 87 resort islands located in an idyllic setting... amazing turquoise reefs... white sandy beaches and palm trees... known as a spectacular place for diving with an abundance of marine life... this must be the perfect ❅winter❅ escape!!
... Unfortunately it's not all good news☹... for the Maldives, climate change and a rising ocean level is a very real threat, with a handful of islands already evacuated due to the rising ocean waters that have interfered with fresh water sources... Thanks sooooo much Kenny en Joni for thinking of me while on honey moon there...(✿ ♥‿♥)

Maldives is an island nation in the Indian Ocean made up of 1,192 coral islands (about 200 inhabited) grouped in a double chain of 26 atolls.

The Maldives have some of the smallest islands in the world with no more than a few square meters size. The largest island barely reaches 6km long and it also owns the title of the lowest country in the world with an average of only 1.5 meters above sea level.

Malé is the capital city of the Maldives. The total area of the island is 6 km2 and considering the amount of people living on one m² it is described as one of the most populous cities of the world.

MALDIVES ~Badu Finolhu-Male Atoll~

No comment..... I think all this pictures speak for themself....

Known as Fun island, located in the south Malé Atoll. White beaches and crystal blue water, limited vegetation with a few shady palm trees.... The large lagoon is ideal for water sports and swimming. Tje giant house reef is a diver's dream.

MALDIVES ~Angaga-Ari Atoll~

Angaga located in the the middle of Ari atoll is one of wonders of Ari atoll. Just a tiny coral island which has one of the best beaches in the country. The wide open beaches go all the way around the island unobstructed by bungalows, walls or any thatched sun shades. Swaying palms give shade to the island pathway, which enables one to encircle Angaga easily in 20 minutes.

MALDIVES ~Nalguiraidhoo-Ari Atoll~

The Island of Nalaguraidhoo is nearly paradise. From exotic flowers and beautiful greenery to the purest and stunning blue lagoon. Located 62 miles from the male airport the Nalaguraidhoo is the most breathtaking an pcturesque island in South Ari Atoll.

MALDIVES ~Bandos-Male Atoll~

Bandos, a beautiful coral island located in North Malé' Atoll, about 7 kilometers from Malé International Airport and the capital Malé, is covered with lush tropical vegetation, numerous palm trees, surrounded by a wide sandy beach and the crystal clear waters of an azure lagoon. Opened in 1972 the island owns one of the best house reefs, just 40 - 60 meters away from the beach. The natural splendor is complemented by the modern amenities of the resort, which ensure that your stay is both comfortable and memorable.
