... Nice view of a watercolor painting named "The Souk of Ida Ougourd" by the Moroccan artist Hamid Faress... it depicts a traditional market scene in Ida Ougourd, a rural commune located in the Essaouira Province of Morocco... capturing the authentic, warm atmosphere of local rural life... this traditional Berber market is held every Wednesday morning... Thanks Rod!【ツ】
Hamid Faress is a Moroccan watercolor painter (aquarelliste) born in Essaouira in 1969. This visual artist is known for his vibrant watercolor and oil paintings, frequently capturing scenes of coastal towns, fishing boats, narrow street markets and everyday Moroccan life.
The Ida Ougourd souk is not listed individually as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but it is closely linked to the Essaouira region, whose medina (formerly Mogador) has been officially listed by UNESCO since 2001.
