... Aerial view of a charming and simply gorgeous castleđ°... situated on an enchanting island in the middle of Lake Schwerin... legend has it that Schwerin Castle has 365 turrets - one for every day of the year... while the exact number might be slightly less, its fairy-tale silhouette dominates the skyline by its numerous towers and spires piercing the sky... it is regarded as one of the most important works of Romantic historicism in Europe... it houses the regional parliament and has a museum which shows a lot of splendour and art... the castle's beautiful gardens are an integral part of its charm... carefully designed to complement the architecture, they offer visitors a peaceful retreat and stunning views of the lake... Thanks Dustin a lot !!(✿◠‿◠)

Schwerin is located in northeast Germany, on the southwestern shore of Lake Schwerin, the second-largest lake of the Mecklenburg Lake Plateau and there are eleven other lakes within Schwerin's city limits.
The castles origins date back to the 10th century, when a Slavic castle stood on this site. In the 19th century, under Grand Duke Friedrich Franz II, the castle was given its current neo-Renaissance appearance. It served as a residence for the dukes and grand dukes of Mecklenburg
In 2024, Schwerin Castle added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites.
