Turks and Caicos ~ Grand Turk ~

... Not the typical bright blue skys or crystal clear waters this time that you expect from a postcard coming from a tropical  paradise😉...  Front street is the main road through Cockburn Town  and most sites of interest are found on the waterfront of the street... it offers lovely scenery of historic colonial landmarks on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other... this island is a spectacular dive destination, with some of the finest barrier reef and wall sites in the tropical Atlantic... much of the tourism to Grand Turk today is cruise ship guests...Thanks a lot Glenn! \_(♥‿♥)_/

Grand Turk is the largest island in the country of the Turks and Caicos Islands, which is a British Overseas Territory located in the tropical Atlantic between the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic.

Grand Turk is the historical center of the Turks and Caicos, and is the second most populated island in the country.  The capital city of Cockburn Town is found on Grand Turk and used to be a salt-producing town.
