... Another great new African country to add to my collectionđ... panoramic postcard showing nice views of local life... this famous fishing village is one of the most colorful and authentic places to visit in Gambia... each day, when the fishing boats arrive, the locals walk into the sea to assist the fishermen to unload their catch and carry it onshore where it’s immediately sold on the Tanji Fishing Market... it's a bustling market where people are selling, smoking, salting and drying huge piles of many species of fish... the equipment is very basic (old fridges with ice in them) and smoking over wood... far from European hygiene standards but a fascinating place to wonder round... almost every local in Tanji is involved in the fish industry... Thanks Alena!【ă】
