THAILAND ~ Pattaya at night ~

... Postcard showing the world-famous nightlife of this city... the sights and sounds of Walking Street are quite unlike anything else in Thailand... streets filled with neon-lit bars, discos, clubs, restaurants, go-go bars and massage parlours... this vibrant coastal city shot to fame in early 1980s, and stayed there... also from sunrise to sunset, Pattaya’s beaches are constantly full of life with water sports lovers and sun worshippers... it attracts 5 million tourists a year... Thanks Jobbo!【ツ】

Pattaya  is a resort city on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, about 100km of Bangkok.

It was called "Tappaya" as it is believed this area is where the troop of Phraya Tak (King Taksin) rested when marched to Chantaburi almost 300 years ago. The name was later became "Pattaya" which is less tongue twist.

Walking Street is 500m long and as the name suggests there are no vehicles allowed in the street after 6pm.
