Nauru is the smallest island country (21 km²) in the world. It is a potato shaped coral island, located just 25 miles south of the Equator in Micronesia in the Pacific Ocean. It is the third smallest state by area in the world, behind only Vatican City and Monaco.
Nauru International Airport is the only airport on the island. Nauru International Airport currently serves 9 international destinations. The Nauru Airlines fleet consists of 5 airplanes (as of July 2014).
