Manneken Pis is a famous Brussels landmark. It is a small bronze fountain sculpture depicting a naked little boy urinating into the fountain's basin. It was designed by Jerome Duquesnoy and put in place in 1618 or 1619.  On special occasions, the Manneken Pis is dressed up. His wardrobe counts more than 900 suits.

From a set of 10 self adhesive "smoeltjes" stamps.

This is a very cool postcard. Such fun to see Manneken Pis dressed in a few of his 900 suits.

Must say that most people are disappointed when they see him...he is really, really small!

  2. Oh really? I guess I assumed he was a pretty good size. Yes, I can see how visitors would be disappointed.
