USA ~ Olympic National Park - Washington - UNESCO ~

... Great nature view of one of the most scenic, easily accessible mountainous area in Olympic National Park... located at an elevation of 1,598 meters... the view from Hurricane Ridge is awesome, with majestic, snow-capped peaks as far as the eye can see, dense forest, wildflower meadows, accessible mountain ridges and abundant wildlife... Hurricane Ridge is named for its intense gales and winds... the weather is unpredictable, and visitors should be prepared for snow at any time of year... with unique "Hurricane Ridge" National Park stamp cancellation👍... Thanks Nan! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Established in 1938, Olympic National Park covers nearly a million acres making it one of the largest national parks in the US. It includes three distinct ecosystems: subalpine forests, temperate rainforests, and rocky Pacific coastlines.

It’s home to a wide variety of plant and animal life, including the Olympic marmot, an endemic species found nowhere else on Earth, the Olympic black bear and the threatened northern spotted owl. The park also has a rich cultural history, with Native American and European settlements dating back thousands of years.

Olympic National Park was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
