Located directly in Bamberg’s old town in a former Jesuit college that is more than three hundred years old, the Natural History Museum displays extraordinary biological and geological exhibits.The Natural History Museum’s permanent exhibitions and multimedia show are dedicated to a variety of predominantly regional natural history topics. Exceptionally well-preserved fossils from the museum’s own excavations also provide fascinating insights into a time when Franconia was still tropical – 154 million years ago.
