... Beautiful underwater scene with coral reef and exotic fishes... the stunning Blue Linckia is a vibrant sea star known for its bright blue color and smooth, elegant shape... it lives in the warm waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, particularly in the protected reefs of the MohĂ©li Marine Park... it slowly moves across the reef while feeding on algae and organic material... this species can regenerate lost arms... it may even be able to produce more individuals from themđ€Ż... their body size is up to 40cm... this sea star is often seen dried and sold for the sea shell collecting trade, but is very common and not currently threatened... Thanks a lot Amelia!(✿◠‿◠)

Established in 2001, the MohĂ©li Marine Park is the first and oldest protected natural area in the Comoros. It covers roughly 644 km² on and around MohĂ©li, the smallest island in the archipelago. It was redesignated a national park in 2010. In 2015 the park was expanded to include about three-quarters of MohĂ©li's terrestrial area.
This is the first nesting site in the archipelago for the green turtle, an
important breeding area for humpback whales, dolphins and a refuge for the conservation of dugongs. Home to endemic terrestrial species like the Livingstone's fruit bat.
The Mohéli Marine Park is recognized internationally through the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Programme as the Mwali Biosphere Reserve, and is also featured on UNESCO's World Heritage tentative list.
