... Great view of the historic, large medieval main square right in the heart of Kraków's Old Town... the square is surrounded by elegant townhouses and medieval buildings, offering a stunning visual experience... the city's historic center was remarkably well-preserved after World War II... home to significant landmarks like he Cloth Hall, Adam Mickiewicz Monument, Town Hall Tower, St. Mary's Basilica, and the Church of St. Adalbert are among them... Krakow is an incredibly charming city and thought to be one of the most beautiful cities in Poland... its blend of ancient history and vibrant, modern culture, making it a must-visit European city... Thanks a lot Gian Luca and Raffaella! (✿◠‿◠)
Kraków is the second-largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. Situated on the Vistula River in Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Kraków was the official capital of Poland until 1596 and has traditionally been one of the leading centres of Polish academic, cultural, and artistic life.
Its Old Town became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. This was one of the very first places in the world to get this special status.
