Badain Jaran Desert  is located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in China.

With a total area of 49,200km² , an average altitude of 1200-1700 meters, the Badian Jaran Desert is the third largest desert in China.

In 2024  China's Badain Jaran Desert - Reservoirs in the Sand Hills became a World Heritage Site.
