SWITZERLAND ~ Pilatus ~

... Nice postcard from a vintage travel poster... since well over one hundred years, the fire engine red carriages of this mountain railway have climbed to the summit of the imposing Mount Pilatus on the most boldest cogwheel railway... at a maximum gradient of 48% it is also the steepest cogwheel railway in the world and the only one of its kind... this 30-minute journey scales meter by meter the way passing alpine meadows and striking rock formations and offers a unique and thrilling experience... it is  a very popular tourist attraction in Switzerland... the railway transported around half a million visitors a year... Thanks a lot Madeleine! \_(♥‿♥)_/
