ITALY ~ Royal Palace of Caserta - UNESCO ~

... Beautiful view of one of the largest and most imposing palace complexes in Europe... this neoclassical masterpiece spans five floors, with an imposing 250-meter facade, more than 1,200 rooms, 1,790 windows, and 34 magnificent staircases... it is truly the essence of opulence, grandeur and elegance...  a symbol of the wealth and power of the Bourbon kings of Naples... the massive gardens extend for over 120 hectares with fountains, waterfalls, ponds and sculptures... today the palace serves not only as a tourist attraction but also as a venue for cultural and artistic events... Thanks a lot Rosette! (✿◠‿◠)
This palace was commissioned by King Charles of Bourbon in the second half of the 18th century and was modeled after the palace of Versailles. It was surrounded by a planned complex of gardens and associated buildings. The estate also included the industrial complex in the hunting lodge Belvedere, dedicated to the production of silk, which included housing for workers. This large complex was only completed in 1845, when the Kingdom of Naples and the Kingdom of Sicily was unified as the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.

Reggia of Caserta was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
