DENMARK ~ Skagen - Jutland ~

... Lovely winter scene of a charming little coastal town famous for its vibrant yellow houses... located at the northernmost tip of Denmark with stunning landscapes, artistic heritage, and unique cultural atmosphere... Skagen is where nature, art and charm unite... a fascinating natural phenomenon here is "Grenen" ðŸŒŠ the point where the waters of Skagerrak, part of the North Sea, and Kattegat, part of the Baltic Sea, two seas of different density, meet but do not mix... this unique sight draws thousands of visitors each year... the area is also famous for Skagen’s magical light, which has inspired many generations of Danish painters... Thanks a lot Jost!ヽ(ヅ)ノ

Skagen is a town located in Jutland, a region of Denmark. Its name originally spelled, "Skaffuen", meaning, "high point of land".

The town originated as a fishing settlement in the early Middle Ages, where fishing was the foundation of its existence, although agriculture was also practiced in the surrounding area of Højen, now Old Skagen. Skagen has one of Denmark’s largest fishing harbours and this is still the most important industry.
