The Åland Islands ~ Viking Line Gabriella ~

... Nice official Viking Line postcard of Gabriella... Viking Line is a public limited company and a market-leading brand in passenger traffic on the northern Baltic Sea... it offers passenger services, recreation and cargo carrier services... Gabriella operates the Stockholm–Helsinki route with a stop in Mariehamn where this postcard was cancelled... and with great matching M/S Gabriella stamp and special postmark👍... must have been a bit weird with only 300 people onboard on a ship for over 2000 passengers... Thanks a lot Sam for thinking of me while traveling...¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Hope you enjoyed your stay in " cold" Europe!🙂

The Åland islands are located in the northern part of the Baltic Sea and consists of more than 6.700 islands situated midway between Sweden and Finland. Although the people of Åland speak Swedish, this autonomous territory is part of Finland. Mariehamn is the capital of the Åland Islands.

The  M/S Gabriella Viking Line ship was built in 1992 and currently sailing under the flag of Finland. Her length overall  is 171,2 meters and her width is 27,6 meters. The ship has a max capacity of 2400 passengers and 400 cars.
