GERMANY ~ Humboldt Forum - Berlin ~

... Nice view of one the biggest cultural buildings in Europe dedicated to human history, art and culture located in the historic centre of the city... Berlin’s reconstructed Prussian palace is home to the Ethnological Museum, the Museum of Asian Art, as well as temporary exhibitions and the Humboldt Lab exhibition and event spaces... the Humboldt Forum, within the beautiful walls of this Berlin Palace, is a popular meeting place and attracts national and international visitors... with a cute cat😺 stamp from the series: popular pets and special first day postmark... Thanks Dustin!❀◕ ‿ ◕❀

The Humboldt Forum in Berlin Mitte extends over an area of around 30,000 square metres and is visible from afar.

The reconstructed baroque palace façades on the northern, southern and western sides of the Forum shine in bright quince yellow. The eastern side of the Forum on the banks of the Spree is surprising: a modern, smooth exterior façade, with the “Spree balcony” viewing platform in front and a large terrace just above the surface of the water on the riverbank.

The museum is named after the brothers Wilhelm and Alexander von Humboldt, who brought forward a scientific and educational model influenced by the arts and philosophy of the beginning of 19th century.
