NORTHERN CYPRUS ~ MOTW ~

... Finally my first card with stamps and postmark from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus👍... one of the harder places to find in the world of postcards... and it came as a surprise... Northern Cyprus has a lot to offer for visitors; it’s home to beautiful coastline with sandy beaches, gorgeous mountain region, historical cities, picturesque mountain villages and ancient ruins.... stamps issued by Northern Cyprus aren't recognized on an international level... mail sent from TRNC is handled by Turkish mail.... Northern Cyprus, is a self-declared state that comprises the northeastern part of the island of Cyprus. Recognized only by Turkey, Northern Cyprus is considered by the international community to be occupied territory. 

The northern half of Cyprus’ capital Nicosia is known as Lefkoşa. This part of the city is the capital and the largest city of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Nicosia is the world's last divided capital after Berlin was unified. Niscosia is on the Pedieos (Kanlidere) river in the centre of the island.
