... A fantastic way to end this week👍... a great flag from the FOTW postcard series... Sierra Leone remains among the world’s poorest countries... as I did before I donated money to get a w&s postcard from this really "rare" African country... the donations received for postcards were used this time for a number of sanitary pads projects... the idea is that women can make pads with their hand with local material (now bought with the donations) and sell them... girls will no longer miss school and the participants were mothers who have disabled children... so, the profit from selling the pads will go a long way... I'm so glad to be able to support this local project a little bit this way❤️(I've even seen pictures where women were making them😊)... Big Thanks again Alena! (✿◠‿◠)

Hey Gerda,
ReplyDeleteWell a card from Sierra Leone , that is quite an accomplishment. It's not often that we see one. I have been trying for years with no luck. That's a nice Lion stamp on it too. Congrats on adding a new country. Take care,
Glenn
Thanks a lot Glenn! Yes, this is probably one of the most difficult countries to get a postcard from... so, I'm very happy with it!!:D
