CANADA ~ Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve ~

... Great postcard of one of the most remote areas of Canada and home to impressive natural wonders from over 450 million years old... the largest group of monoliths in Canada... there are dozens of these rock formations scattered across 40 of the islands... admire these otherworldly limestone sculptures and cliffs sculpted by waves, wind and changing sea levels... there are also close to 80 km of nature trails spread over 10 the islands, which are accessible only by boat... Postmarked on World Postcard Day...👍 Thanks a lot dear Andrene!!(♥‿♥) so nice to hear you're safe❤️ but missing your family must be hard... luckily mine living all close, so I can see them regulary respecting the Covid rules... But the number of new Corona infected ones is exponential rising here as in most European countries, and I do not know what will happen in the next few months...😢

Established as a park in 1984, the Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve encompasses almost a 1,000 islands and islets feature monoliths, caves, archways and grottoes located off the coast of eastern Quebec on the north shore of Gulf of St. Lawrence.

The area is home to rare plants, several species of marine birds, seals, whales and other animals.
