... Another nice view of one of the many museums in Dustin's home town... a four-storey classic Art Nouveau building with floral ornaments and curved lines... originally only exhibits on the history of the city were to be exhibited... but the building grew into a versatile museum which today houses paintings and graphics from the 18th to 20th centuries, art, consumer goods, musical instruments, pieces of furniture and ethnographic objects from all over the world... in addition to the permanent exhibition, the Haus am Löwenwall also presents special exhibitions of international standing... Thanks a lot Dustin!【ツ】
The museum was founded in 1861 on the initiative of the citizens of Brunswick. Since the collection increased sharply, the city council decided in 1904 to build its own museum building on Löwenwall according to plans by the architect Max Osterloh.
