SPAIN ~San Crist贸bal de La Laguna - Tenerife - UNESCO ~

... First of two great postcards coming from the Canary Islands馃檪... the historic capital of the Canary Islands, La Laguna is still considered to be the archipelago’s cultural heart... it was the first unwalled colonial city and still preserves its original 15thC layout almost intact... this layout was used as a model for building many other colonial cities in America... its streets, with their fantastic shopping atmosphere, gastronomy and leisure, are also full of monuments and historic buildings... this town is also home to the University de La Laguna... the oldest university on the Canary Islands... La Laguna is not primarily a tourist town and most visitors just come for a day trip... Big Thanks Andrene! (✿ ♥‿♥)
