... A beautiful eco-friendly underwater artwork located in the world’s most beautiful waters... postcard was dated November 1... stamped December 11!!🤔... arrived December 24... another one of the mysteries in postcard world😉... one of the world’s largest underwater sculpture... Virtuoso Man was sculpted by Willicey Tynes... the statue will transform into an artificial reef.... the purpose of the art piece is to encourage coral colonization (by giving a sort of building block for the coral to grow and thrive on), as well as shifting tourists away from endangered reefs near other parts of The Bahamas.... the underwater garden has attracted thousands of divers since it opened... with lovely matching marine life stamp... Thanks a lot Glenn!(✿ ♥‿♥)
The BREEF Sir Nichollas Nuttall Coral Reef Sculpture Garden is located off the western tip of New Providence, Nassau.
There are many man-made reef balls and statues situated beside the natural reef located in that spot. The permanent works, which include a 30 metre-long, 100-tonne wall, have been created entirely with pH neutral materials designed to foster the reproduction of local fish species and create a habitat for marine life in the Unesco-designated World Biosphere Reserve.
