After mention "Uta van Naumburg" HERE it is great to have now a postcard showing her beautiful statueă... both look so alive, one could almost expect them to step off their pedestals... and they survived for almost 800 years with the original colors... her statue possibly inspired the character of the Evil Queen in Disney's 1937 animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs... with great matching Dom stamps and once moređ amazing postmarks... Medieval statues representing the Margrave Ekkehard II of Meissen and his wife, Uta von Ballenstedt from the series of twelve life-size statues depicting the founding donors to the Naumburg Cathedral, 1243–1249.
Located at the Cathedral of Naumburg, in the west choir. It is one of the most important works of German Gothic sculpture, mid-13thC.
Since 2018 is the Naumburg Cathedral on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
