ZAMBIA ~ Stalking Leopard - South Luangwa National Park ~

... A fantastic new African country and National Park for my collection♥... there are 20 NP in Zambia... for scenery, variety and density of animals, South Luangwa National Park is one of the best parks in Zambia, if not Africa.... world-famous as an icon of African wildlife... a paradise for animal lovers... Hééél Erg Bedankt Karine!! (✿ ♥‿♥)

Zambia is a landlocked country in Southern Africa, neighbouring the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and Angola.

South Luangwa NP covers an area over 9050 sq kms. Locally known as 'The Valley', it is the southern extension of Africa's Great Rift and is dominated by the Luangwa River. Mopane and miombo woodland, acacia shrub, grassland savannah and riverine forest are some of the habitats that make up this lush valley.

The park has a wide variety of wildlife including an abundance of elephant, hippos, buffalo, black rhino, zebra, small herds of Cooksons's wildebeest, leopard, lion, all varieties of antelope, and numerous species of birdlife including the spectacular ones such as; crested cranes, saddle bill storks, wood ibis, vultures and egrets.
