... Great Malaysian surprises coming from Jobbo's travels... lovely view of the river at night with the lights reflecting in the water... today, it is a popular tourist attraction primarily because of the 45-minute River Cruise, which offers tranquil views of colonial buildings, old churches, mosques, ancient bridges, clan houses, antiquated shophouses, temples and villages that have withstood the test of time... Thanks a lot Jobbo!!【ツ】
From backside postcard:
Flows through the central part of Malacca town, Malacca River was once an important trade route during the heyday of Malacca Sulanate in the 15thC.
Spanning a total distance of 10km, it is also believed to be where Malacca was founded by Sumatran Prince Parameswara, who built his palace along the east side of the riverbank (at the foot of St. Paul’s Hill) in the 1400s.
