This postcard showcases the wonders of UNESCO World Heritage site Kluane/Wrangell-St.Elias/Glacier Bay/Tatshenshini-Alsek Parks in Yukon, British Columbia and Alaska. The first trans-boundary site to be placed on the World Heritage List, this breathtaking landscape is home to most of the tallest peaks in North America and the largest ice field outside of the polar caps. Species which are rare or endangered elsewhere, such as the grizzly, wolf, wolverine, bald eagle, trumpeter swan and peregrine falcon, have stable populations in this area. These four parks form the largest internationally protected area in the world.
The picture of the image is taken above the Kluane Glacier, which is located between the Kaskawulsh Glacier and the Donjek Glacier. It is a view towards Mt. Weyprecht (3'255 m) and Mt. Vancouver 4'812 m.
