ARGENTINA ~ Patagonia- Perito Moreno Glacier-UNESCO~

...Amazing view of an impressive natural wonder, the most famous icefield in the world... unlike most of the world’s glaciers, it is growing (about 2 meters a day)...one of the last advancing glaciares in the world and that makes him special!!Thanks sooo much Sol!!

The Perito Moreno Glacier is a glacier located in the Los Glaciares National Park in Santa Cruz. It is one of the most important tourist attractions in the Argentine Patagonia. having a front of 5 km long and a height of over 60 meters above the level of the water. At 30 km (19 miles) in length and over 250 sq km (97 sq mi) in size.
.Perito Moreno is one of 48 glaciers fed by the Southern Patagonian Ice Field located in the Andes system shared with Chile. This icefield is the world’s third largest reserve of fresh water.

In 1981 UNESCO declared National Park Los Glaciares a World Heritage Site.
