Purnululu National Park in Western Australia, the Aborigines lived in this region for generations, Purnululu was "discovered" only in the mid-1980s. Echidna Chasm is a narrow gorge, at some points only two meters wide, but with 200m high vertical wallsit and is home to the Livistona palms, which survive the dry and hot summer days through the protection by the steep gorge.
