BELGIUM ~Sint Truiden~

.... Its so nice to show my own country. :) We always try to get cards from far away and exotic countries and forget the beauty of our neighbourhood... The card was sent by a friend who visited Sint Truiden.( not so far from where I live).
Every year in spring (starts here on march 20) there is a explosion of white and red/rose blossoms on both low and high stem trees of mainly apples, pears and cherry. In the area are many hiking and cycling routes through the beautiful orchards....


Sint Truiden is a city in the province Limburg and is the centre of Belgium's fruit producing region Haspengouw (Hesbaye)and is renowned for it pears, apple (Jonagold) and sweet cherries.
