The name Waikīkī means spouting fresh water in the Hawaiian language, for springs and streams that fed wetlands that once separated Waikīkī from the interior.

First of many great postcard from my nephew's honeymoon💕to Hawaii... and guess where this came from???😁... one of the most famous beaches in the world... once the playground of Hawaiian royals who enjoyed surfing there on early forms of longboards...Waikiki Beach, with easygoing breaks and sandy stretches is the birthplace of modern surfing culture... today the beachfront is lined with resorts and some of Hawaii’s most historic hotels...
