Frau Holle must have got out all her pillows and duvets here and shaking them to create this magical winter wonderland😉... this makes collecting National Parks so much fun... you can have plenty of cards of one but they all are so very different😍... with cute Frau Holle stamp nr2 and another great first day postmark👍... The Harz is the northernmost German Mittelgebirge and the highest mountain range in Northern Germany.

This NP combine rolling mountains with a dense pine forest. It was established in its current form by the merging of the Upper Harz National Park and the Harz National Park in Lower Saxony in 2006 following the two National Parks uniting.

Today it is a protected area covering ± 24,700 ha. where numerous varieties of wildlife flourish and rare animals have been reintroduced.
