Venezuela, officially called the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, is a tropical country on the northern coast of South America. Having a shoreline along the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, Venezuela borders Colombia to the west, Guyana to the east, and Brazil to the south  and is situated on the major sea and air routes linking North and South America.

The Angel Falls (Churun Meru) in the Guiana Highlands is the world's highest waterfall and one of Venezuela's major tourist attractions.

VENEZUELA ~Playa Caribe-Margarita Island~

Got a wonderful but almost empty looking tropical beach view... I sure want to escape to this "Carribean paradise" right now... because the weather here looks more like autumn than summer,it has been cold, windy and it is still raining...
Thanks Cardina!

Margarita is a Caribbean island of Venezuela, located at the Northeast of Caracas.Playa Caribe is located in the north coast of Margarita Island.
At the end of the beach you can find caves of easy exploration and during the month of July and August you could witness the most spectacular sunsets.

VENEZUELA ~Playa Medina~

After a week without mail (due to heavy snowfall)I got an amazing beach view today ... Found this on the internet:
One of the best beaches in the whole country is Playa Medina. A privileged place thanks to the tropical vegetation, the color of the sea and the softness of the sand.Playa medina is a true tropical paradise. The coconut trees will provide the shade from the intense sun, so you can rest listening the sound of the waves
.... Now I hate the winter here even more, the snow, the ice, the freezing temparatures!!!

Paria Peninsula is a large peninsula in Sucre State, northern Venezuela. It separates the Gulf of Paria and Caribbean Sea.

VENEZUELA ~Santa Ana de Coro-UNESCO~

YEAAAH!! My first card from Venezuela and above all, its also a UNESCO WHS...The card travelled two months...
I immediately had a look on my world map card to search for it! :D
Venezuela officially called the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is a tropical country on the northern coast of South America. It borders Colombia to the west, Guyana to the east, and Brazil to the south.

The city of Santa Ana de Coro was founded in 1527 by Spanish colonists. The name "Coro" is believed to be an indigenous word meaning "wind". Coro is the capital of Falcón State and the oldest city in the west of Venezuela.
Since the 1950s Coro has been conserved as a national monument, and in 1993 Coro and its port were designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. However, in 2005 Coro was inscribed in the List of World Heritage Sites in danger.

With its earthen constructions unique to the Caribbean, Coro is the only surviving example of a rich fusion of local traditions with Spanish Mudéjar and Dutch architectural techniques. One of the first colonial towns and it has some 602 historic buildings.
