GERMANY ~ Luisium Park - Dessau - UNESCO ~

... Nice autumn🍂 view of a picturesque, peaceful park with a small palace built for Prince Franz's wife, surrounded by a 14-hectare English landscape... scattered with neo-Gothic and classical ornamental buildings together with fountains, grottoes, constructed ruins and sculptures... characterized by the wide visual axes with ancient solitary oaks.... until well into the 19th century, one part was used for strolling and pleasure and the other was used by the court gardener for fruit and vegetable cultivation... with a lovely stamp and cute special postmark👍... Thanks Dustin!ăƒœ(ヅ)ノ

The Garden Kingdom was created by Leopold III Friedrich Frank, Prince of Anhalt-Dessau (1740–1817), Between 1774 and 1778, the  prince had the small Luisium country house built as a private residence for his wife Louise. The princess loved the tranquility of the place, which has borne her name since 1780.

It is a part of Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Realm, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000.
