GERMANY ~ Karl Marx House - Trier ~

...Nice view of the birthplace of Karl Marx... one of the most important figures in recent history... and his ideological legacy continues to impact us today... located on a street named after him the Karl Marx House is an example of an Upper Middle Class home built in Baroque style in 1727... it has been converted into a small informative, interesting, well-kept museum dedicated to the communist revolutionary’s life and writings and his influence on the world... there are a number of rooms to visit with also very interesting artistic depictions of the great man... and a lovely garden featuring a few sculptures of the father of socialism... with matching stamp... Thanks a lot Dustin!ヽ(ヅ)ノ

Karl Heinrich Marx (1818 – 1883) was a German philosopher, economist, historian, sociologist, political theorist, journalist, critic of political economy, and socialist revolutionary.

He is most famously known for his economic and social theory which gave rise to Socialism and Communism.

Marx's critical theories about society, economics, and politics, collectively understood as Marxism, hold that human societies develop through class conflict.

His two most well-known works are the 1848 pamphlet “The Communist Manifesto” which he wrote with his co-author and friend, Frederick Engels and the three-volume “Das Kapital”.
