Beautiful views of a new NP... located along the shoreline of Lake Müritz, the second largest lake in Germany... known as the land of a thousand lakes... there are lakes as far as the eye can see... more than 70% of the park is covered by ancient beech forests... the Müritz National Park Trail is the longest hiking trail through a national park in the country... it is also an important breeding ground for large birds that are endangered what makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers and keen birdwatchers....thanks to the many observation towers, you can keep an overview and enjoy wonderful views into the distance... the natural landscape is also showcased in all its glory in the fascinating Müritzeum, a fascinating and informative nature discovery centre... Thanks Sabine!【ツ】
