... Nice winter view of the Transmission Mast and Weather Station... normally the Brocken is a place of extreme weather conditions with short summers and very long winters... but climate change is disrupting everythingđ... the winters are not so cold here anymore... its summit offers spectacular views on clear days and no view at all when fog, rain, or snow blankets the mountaintop... with great stamp and interesting postmark "The Green Belt" "from the death strip to the lifeline"... Germany was divided for almost 40 years... the inner German border was closely guarded with high walls, barbed wire and watchtowers.... at the same time, it gave nature a respite: the border strip became a refuge for more than 1,200 rare and endangered plant and animal species.... since the fall of the Berlin Wall, the BUND has created one of the largest and most important nature conservation projects... the Harz Border Trail is part of the "Green Belt"... Thanks Dustin!【ă】❤️Stay safe and take care of yourself and your loved ones!❤️
The Brocken is the highest peak of the Harz mountain range and also the highest peak of Northern Germany (1.141m).
Harz National Park is located within Germany's most northerly mountain range, the Harz Mounains, in the federal states of Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. 95 % of the area is covered with forests, mainly with spruce and beech woods, including several bogs, granite rocks and creeks.

Happy to see that you got the card. Interestingly today it snows both here and on the Brocken. :D
