SRI LANKA ~Bridges and Culverts ~

Received my third great ancient bridge postcard from a serie of 4 "Bridges and Culverts".
...and  with matching stamp makes it always a bit more special!! Thanks a lot  Ravindra.

 Stone Bridge - Mahakanadarawa
 (Issued 27-05-2011)
Ancient Stone Bridge at Mahakanadarawa dates back to the 7th century  and is situated in the midst of the forest. This stone bridge across Malwathu Oya was part of the main route to Mannar harbor which was the main harbor for the country during Anuradhapura era.
