...Morocco a new country (nr 112) in my collection...wonderful views of children playing at the communal fountains in the medina...so wonderful mozaieks... a postcard with a totally new atmosphere than all European ones: "the feel of Africa"!!! ^__^ Thanks a lot Manu for card nr 5!!!
Stamp showing Mohammed VI the present King of Morocco.
Fez (founded in 793 AD) is found in the foothills of the North Middle Atlas mountains of Morocco, North Africa. The medieval centre of Fez, the Medina (market) has not changed for centuries. Its narrow alleys house hundreds of merchants and craftsmen selling a range of products such as dates, fish, spices, copper urns, carpets and musical instruments.
This site is dedicated to my hobby: collecting written and stamped (from country of origin) postcards! Postcard collecting is a very addictive hobby, but its a lot of fun, and you get in touch with lots of nice people worldwide...

The highest hill in the country, Slættaratindur (882m) on the island of Eysturoy.

The islands are high and rugged and have only sparse vegetation. The capital is Thorshavn on Strømø. The main industries are fishing, fish processing, shipbuilding, and crafted goods. Spoken languages: Faeroese and Danish.
They did not join the European Union with Denmark in 1972 because it would have opened their fishing waters to other EU members.

ICELAND ~Cliffs of Látrabjarg~
For me, Iceland is one the countries with the most spectacular nature...you better don't look down when you are afraid of heights standing on this cliff :D... and as being a "birdcolonie" I see only one puffin......But the view is just breathtaking!!
This is my first card from Manu who started a six months journey from Iceland to Cape town, crossing 20 countries...Looking forward to many great postcards!! Thanks a lot Manu! :D
Nice stamp: Icelandic Visual Arts II – The Pioneers (Day of issue: 03.11.2011) Látrabjarg, in Iceland, marks the western-most part of Europe. The cliffs are home to millions of birds, including puffins, northern gannets, guillemots and razorbills. It is vital for their survival as it hosts up to 40% of the world population for some species e.g. the Razorbill.
It is Europe's largest bird cliff, 14km long and up to 440m high.
