... Nice postcard "Ziehfigur Anton von Zapperl, 1886" from an earlier exhibition at the museum... over 70 sheets of pictures from various printers and publishers were presented... one of the most important producers of the "Magdeburg picture sheets" was the picture sheet factory Eduard Robrahn, founded in 1823 as the "Lithographic Institute"... colored lithographs printed with one or more pictures, often also with text, met the need for information, entertainment and instruction... they were extremely popular in the 19thC and were widely used as mass-produced items across Europe... it was not until 1928 that the production of picture sheets was stopped, also because better, faster media had long since developed... with two lovely stamps "Legends of Germany"and as always😊 a wonderful special postmark... Thanks a lot Dustin! (✿◠‿◠)
