... Great modern architecture on the banks of the Weser River... from far away it looks like a ship or a cloud... a wonderful place where humans bond with nature... the museum takes visitors on an interactive journey across five simulated continents to experience the world’s climate extremes, from the humidity of the tropics to the icy summits of the Swiss Alps... the tour along the 8° of longitude East leads through sceneries that are built true to original locations... mixture between a science center, climate museum and theme park... an ideal place to learn about how we need to be morally and ethically responsible to the changing environment... with lovely matching postmark abouth the 200th anniversary of the discovery of Antarctica👍... Big Thanks Dustin!!(✿ ♥‿♥)
The Klimahaus, or "Climate House," opened in 2009 in the northern German city of Bremerhaven following a three-year construction period and is housed in a large glass building. The largest section of the 11,500 square-meter museum is called "The Journey."
The museum, which cost over 70 million euros ($101 million) to create, attracted more than 100,000 visitors in its first six weeks of operation.
