GHANA ~ Western Region ~

...Great views of one of the ten regions of this African country...in the Western Region you can find the majority of the wealth of Ghana and most interesting places ... it's one of the major tourist destination with beautiful safe beaches... well known because of the Nzulezo village, that is totally built up on platforms and stilts over the top of the water... there are a variety of forts along the coastal area... gold mines and oil platforms...Thank you very much Lara!! The Western Region is located in South Ghana bordered by the Central Region, the Ivory Coast,  Ashanti, Brong-Ahafo Regions and  by the Gulf of Guinea.  It includes the capital and large twin city of Sekondi-Takoradi and has Ghana's southernmost location, Cape Three Points.

This Region has the highest rainfall in Ghana, lush green hills, and fertile soils.  The culture is dominated by the Akans; the main languages are Akan and English.
