With a height of 263 m (863 ft) is it the 299th highest waterfall in the world. The Bambarakanda Falls lies in the Badulla District among a evergreen forest in the Kalupahana Area.
The fall is formed by the Uduweriya Haputale mountain and Kuda Oya, a tributary of Walawe River.
