ARGENTINA ~Historic monuments-Buenos Aires~

...Great multiview showing beautiful historical buildings of Buenos Aires...and with special scented roses stamp (and yes it still smells a bit even after it long journey! ^__^) Thanks Mariana!

With nice stamps:
Argentina's National Flower Festival
(Issued 27 September 2008 )
Archeological artifacts
Cultura Mapuche. Kultrún
 (Issued 13-09-2000)
Funerary urn, Belén culture

1. Casa Rosada (Pink House) is the presidential palace and office of the president.
2. Cabildo - Town Hall This building was used as a government house during colonial times.Currently, Cabildo hosts the National Museum of the Cabildo and the May Revolution.
3. The Metropolitan Cathedral is the main Catholic temple in Buenos Aires. The neoclassical building has not got the typical cathedral profile as it has no towers and it looks more a classical Greek temple than a typical Catholic temple.
4. The Congress Building finished in 1906 in an Italian academic style with some classical touches, the building is a four-storied rectangle and has two pavilions, one on each side. In front of the Congreso Congress building is another beautiful park.

Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of Argentina, and the second-largest metropolitan area in South America
