Hawaii is the most recent of the 50 U.S. states, and is the only U.S. state made up entirely of islands. It consists of a long chain of islands in the Pacific Ocean.

The Island of Hawaii also called the Big Island or Hawaiʻi Island, is a volcanic island (the eastern-most and southern-most in the Hawaiian islands chain) in the North Pacific Ocean. It is larger than all of the other Hawaiian Islands combined and is the largest island in the US.
