RUSSIA ~Tula~

Received a nice official (RU-493974) from Russia!


Tula is a city and administrative center of Tula oblast of Russia. Tula city is situated about 193 km south of Moscow on Upa river. Tula city is known for traditional Russian cookies made with honey and gingerbread.
The city is also known for its production of weapons, which dates back to the time of Peter The Great. Tula has the status of "Heroic City" for having held back the Nazis during WWII. A short drive from Tula is Yasnaya Polyana, the estate of the legendary Lev (Leo) Tolstoy.
