BELARUS ~Belovezhskaya Puscha-UNESCO~

Belavezhskaya Pushcha in Belarus an ancient woodland straddling the border between Belarus and Poland, It is one of the last and largest remaining parts of the immense primeval forest which once spread across the European Plain. In 1993 it got the status of a Biosphere Reserve and in 1997 was awarded a Council of Europe Diploma. ( )
